Dr. Bentley Stephenson was born in Northampton County, NC, where he resided through his high school years. He developed a keen interest in animals at a very young age and decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. He attended N.C. State University (Go Wolfpack!) and graduated from the veterinary school in 1985. He traveled south to his first veterinary job in Pinehurst, N.C. After practicing in Pinehurst for three and half years, it was time to focus on a small-animal practice in Fayetteville, N.C.
Dr. Stephenson bought Reilly Road Animal Hospital on March 1, 1990, and has enjoyed the many years of treating his patients and looks forward to many more fulfilling years. He also received a MBA degree from Duke University in 1990. Dr. Stephenson has served on the board of the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association for the past six years and is also an officer for the North Carolina Companion Animal academy. He enjoys spending time with family and friends. He also finds it relaxing to spend time outdoors, especially observing and filming wildlife.
